“A witness doesn’t just know something and keep it a secret. A witness has a story to tell and shares that story. How a witness shares the story depends on her or his gifts. Each of us has a gift. Some of us have more than one gift, as Luke did. God’s command to be witnesses goes for us as well. How will you use your gift so that someone will know the truth about Christ for her or his life today?” This was written by Pastor Thomas L. Weitzel, former communications director of the Florida-Bahamas Synod of the ELCA.

Everyone has a story to tell. If you enjoy writing, this may be your call to witness to Christ. The Writers’ Group meets a couple of Wednesdays each month at a member’s home. Bring your sack lunch and something you have written to share with others. The group is open to all men and women.
