Lutheran Men in Mission

All of the men of Christ The Servant Lutheran Church are members of the Lutheran Men in Mission. The men sponsor a monthly prayer breakfast and bible study on the first Saturday of each month. The current topic of study is Real Faith for Real Life: Living the Six Marks of Discipleship by Michael W. Foss.

The Lutheran Men in Mission also assist with projects to upkeep the church campus or otherwise in support of the congregation, as the Hard Hats.

The men also participate in the quarterly Lutheran Men in Mission Work Day at Briarwood Retreat Center, having recently assisted in the preparation of the Director’s Cabin for the initial Hurricane Katrina evacuees. Many of the men also volunteered during the period that Katrina and Rita evacuees were resident at Briarwood. (Read about it in The Lutheran.)
