Christian Education Program
...Jesus is the Risen Lord
Studying God’s word, learning to appreciate His creation, and finding Jesus Christ as our Savior is the mission of the Christian Education Program at Christ The Servant Lutheran Church. It is only one part of the total worship experience that the entire family can have. Come join us each Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m.
Care has been taken to provide a diverse program that appeals to a wide variety of interests all having a common Christian emphasis. Men’s and Women’s Bible study and fellowship opportunities are also available.
Exploring Discipleship for New Members
Persons interested in participating are invited to a series of sessions for exploring discipleship. Those who wish to support the ministry of Christ The Servant Lutheran Church will be received as new members, associate members, or congregational participants. A New Members’ Class is beginning soon. Contact the church office for more details today!
Sunday School for Children & Youth
Sunday school classes are offered for children ages 3 and up, where learning of the Grace of God, Jesus’ Love, and the Gifts of Prayer and Scripture are positive, hands-on, and age-appropriate. The creative spark is ignited in story, craft, song, prayer and dialogue.
CTS's Summer curriculum consists of an introduction of how the Grace of God works through each of the outreach ministries at CTS Lutheran, from Quilting for Lutheran World Relief to the Empty Bowls Project. Each Sunday, at 9:45 a.m., children and youth gather in the sanctuary for prayer, singing and a Sunday School offering. Following are classes broken out by age group with bible storytelling and projects based on CTS outreach ministries. Youth assist adults as storytellers and project assistants, learning ministry leadership skills by doing.
First Communion and Confirmation
Before becoming confirmed members of the Lutheran congregation in the ELCA, a year of intense study of the Bible and Martin Luther’s Small Catechism are carried out under the prayerful, gentle guidance of a spiritual leader of the congregation. Please contact Pastor Peggy if you have questions or are interested in these classes.
Adult Sunday School
Sunday morning Christian education for adults is lively, varied and interactive, with a wide range of enjoyable and interesting topics. During the summer months, we are studying The ELCA Lutheran Handbook, an introduction to what it means to be specifically Lutheran.
